Q. Virtual Counselling / Virtual Psychotherapy/ Web Therapy – What’s the difference?
A. Virtual , Web, Internet & Online are used by therapists interchangeably.
A. Therapy is another word for Psychotherapy or Counselling. They are generally interchangeable.
Q. Who Can Practice Virtual Psychotherapy in Ontario?
A. The two main categories of therapy practitioners in Ontario are Registered Psychotherapists RPs and Registered Social Workers RSWs. These therapists have Masters Degrees and specific education and on-site training and supervision in providing psychotherapy. I am a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work – a MSW RSW.
A. Qualifications in Canada are Provincial. As I was licensed in Ontario, I can practice Virtual Psychotherapy Ontario-wide.

Q. Is Therapy Covered By Insurance?
A. If you have Extended Health Care (EHC) benefits or Insurance, it will often cover Psychotherapy, Counselling, “Psychological Services”, “Mental Health and Counselling Services, or a “Mental Health Practitioner”. It is best to check your EHC benefits to see who it covers, how much you have, what percentage it covers, and when it renews.
A. Without benefits or insurance, people can pay privately for therapy if they are able.
Q. Do you offer Insurance Covered Therapy or Extended Health Care benefits covered counselling?
